arctic. spiral freezer/spiral cooler
The spiral system for cooling and freezing of all kind of food products with various belt widths and tier pitches plus numerous options for medium and big capacities.
flexible.
As a single or double drum system, upwards or downwards conveying, four layouts and three system diameters, and installed on the factory floor, a foundation or on a frame, the arctic meets all requirements in terms of capacity and integration in process and building.
versatile.
The wall and ceiling panels of the insulation enclosure are lined in stainless steel, while the floor is designed as a fully seam-welded stainless steel tray with defined drains. The interior of the enclosure is accessed by means of an insulated stainless steel doors with contact switch and electric frame heating.

The conveyor system can accommodate a variety of different belts. Stainless steel or plastic belts, with open or closed belt surface, with small or large pitches, and with or without side plates. The stainless steel and plastic belts can be retrofitted at a later date.

Designed for industrial multi-shift applications, the highest degree of reliability is guaranteed by the smooth belt guidance via drum and frequency-controlled main drive and overdrive motors, the use of high-quality components, and the minimum of moving parts.

The arctic offers state-of-the-art PLC controls, several remote service and communication options, programming and saving of all product and system parameters in recipes, plus elaborate visualization (3D images of the system, temperature trends, etc.) on a colour touchscreen.

At the end of each shift, defrosting can be carried out using hot gas or electrical heating methods. The snow blow-off system can extend the production time before defrosting becomes necessary. Sequential defrosting works continuously to allow production times of 144 h without interruption.

The simple belt cleaning system with a pump unit for increasing pressure generating foam can be progressively upgraded into an extended cleaning system or even further into a fully integrated cleaning system that cleans the entire interior in addition to the belt and conveyor system.

The arctic can be realized with numerous options, such as an insulating enclosure with a stainless steel exterior or a fully welded insulating enclosure, frequency-controlled fans, air cooler rinsing device, in asymmetrical layouts, or as a twin-belt system - custom-designed to meet your needs.

The single drum system for cooling and freezing of all kind of food products with one belt width and four tier pitches for small capacitites.

The compact.® offers flexible belt configurations in three different layouts, rotating clockwise or counter-clockwise and upwards or downwards conveying. The number of tiers can be adapted to the particular product and capacity.

The wall and ceiling panels of the insulating enclosure are lined inside with stainless steel, while the floor consists of a fully seam-welded stainless steel tray with defined drains. The unit can be accessed by means of two stainless steel doors in the insulating enclosure with contact switches and an electrical frame heating.

Equipped with a mini PLC and a graphic multifunctional display, all of the system parameters can be set precisely. Frequency-controlled main and auxiliary drives enable infinitely variable regulation of the belt speed and, thus, the retention times.

Every compact.® can be defrosted with fan-driven air once the refrigerant has been switched off. Furthermore, the defrsting process can be enhanced and carried out more efficiently by means of hot gas or electrical heat.

The fluidized bed system for cooling and freezing of bulk products with two belt widths and various system lengths plus numerous options for medium and big capacities.

Due to the different number of modules in the pre-freezing and main freezing zone, the system can be designed exactly for the desired product and performance. Frequency-controlled drives provide the flexibility necessary to handle different products in a single system.

You can therefore simultaneously cool or freeze products in cartons, in trays, or in plastic containers (e.g. E1, E2, or E3) in a single system.

The continuous monitoring of the thermal load in the system enables the intelligent control of the number of active fans, the air speed, and
the air volume. When the demand drops, entire air cooling units are switched off and actively defrosted.

Air coolers with reduced pressure losses and a flow-optimised cold air circulation ensure conomical operation of the system. Active air
locks on every input and output of the system as well as sequential defrosting guarantee continuous operation 365 days a year.

The integrated storage location management provides an overview of the number, position, and remaining retention times of the products.
Processes such as placing in storage, removing from storage, or both at the same time are pre-programmed and just as easy to call up as the programs for maintaining and diagnosing errors in the system.
