Already in the morning, the exhibition halls were buzzing with activity: professionals from workshops, suppliers, and technology companies gathered at the fair, with stands well attended and a positive atmosphere throughout. Around 1,400 international exhibitors and brands are taking part in this anniversary edition, which expects around 100,000 visitors – a clear sign that the automotive aftermarket continues to evolve and actively embraces change. At the same time, the event reaffirms its importance as a key platform for the French and French-speaking markets.

Looking Back and Ahead

Under the anniversary theme “50 Years (R)Evolution”, a special exhibition showcases the transformation from classic mechanics to digital mobility – a retrospective and a glimpse into what lies ahead. In the other halls, the focus is firmly on the future: across 15 market sectors and 8 themed villages, the fair presents itself as a reflection of the mobility industry. Alongside traditional segments such as bodywork and paint, lubricants, and workshop equipment, new areas are taking center stage – including sustainable energy solutions, charging infrastructure, connectivity, and digital services.

In the Energy Village, the spotlight is on battery systems, charging devices, and retrofit solutions, while the Tech Village focuses on software-defined vehicles, AI-based diagnostics, and electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the Circular Economy Village draws attention to recycling and reuse initiatives – a topic gaining increasing importance in light of sustainability goals and regulatory developments.

A Meeting Place for the Entire Value Chain

Among the exhibitors are well-known companies such as Bosch, Valeo, Continental, ZF Aftermarket, Stellantis, Liqui Moly, and PPG Refinish. In the Startup Village, young companies such as Carbon Risk Intelligence, Exosfer, Carmoove, and Izzymobility are showcasing new (software) solutions for diagnostics, fleet management, and sustainable workshop processes.

Impulses for the Years Ahead

In the conference area, the EQUIP AUTO Arena, industry experts are discussing the future of the sector. Topics include: How can workshops adapt to e-mobility? What role does data management play in the aftermarket? And what new business models are emerging through connected mobility?

EQUIP AUTO in Paris remains open to visitors until October 18.
