Against the backdrop of groundbreaking CES innovations around the software-defined vehicle, an intense dialogue developed about the transformative role of high-tech in the mobility ecosystem. While the OEM market receives a lot of attention, it became clear that the aftermarket is also facing profound change.

Strong voices from industry, technology and trade fairs provided impetus: Olaf Mußhoff, Director of Automechanika Frankfurt, assessed the developments with a view to the leading international trade fair. Tobias Liebelt, CEO of BENTELER Mobility, and Tobias Wessels, Chief Development Officer at Helm.ai, provided insights into technological innovations that are redefining mobility. Eve Ermishin from the Israeli Ministry of Economy & Industry highlighted international perspectives, while Dr Hans H. Hamer, CEO of HEY/PIONEER, moderated the discussion.

Following the panel discussion, stimulating conversations ensued between the speakers and participants, including representatives from Google, Mercedes, Mobility Fund, IOKI and Visionary AI.

The PIONEER Reception not only provided a space for valuable discussions and new connections, but also set important thematic accents – as a conceptual prelude to Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, where these topics will be explored in greater depth.
