From drifting shows to keynote speeches, Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City 2025 offered a lively mix of innovations, specialist programmes and networking opportunities from 19 to 21 June. Covering an area of 22,600 square metres in Halls A and B, 401 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions came together to showcase the latest developments and products from the automotive industry.

In addition to classic product presentations, the event also offered interactive formats and lectures. The focus was on both technological trends and regional market opportunities. The trade fair provided a comprehensive insight into the dynamic changes within the industry, both with regard to Vietnam and international developments.

Vietnam as a Gateway to Automotive Growth

The exhibition highlighted Vietnam’s emergence as a strategic investment destination in the automotive industry. Ms Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “A key factor behind this transformation is the shift in the automotive industry, driven by new energy adoption and the establishment of supply chains. These developments play a crucial role in nurturing Vietnam’s economic growth, technological advancement, lifestyle needs, and job creation.” 

Global Participation and Cutting-Edge Tech

The international appeal was evident with pavilions from China, Germany, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan, alongside visitors from over 40 countries, including Australia, Canada, Italy, the UK, and the US.

  • Major players like Bosch Rexroth, Siemens, and Thundersoft displayed technologies from smart manufacturing to advanced software and robotics.
  • VinFast impressed with EV test drives, while suppliers like Lucas, CTR, and Laudin showcased components from electrical systems to reused premium parts.

Insightful Conferences & Skill-building Workshops

The Automotive Mobility Solutions Conference (19–20 June) attracted global leaders discussing themes such as:

  • Resilient supply chains (CATL, China)
  • AI in autonomous vehicles (AWS, Singapore)
  • Green technologies (TotalEnergies, Vietnam; AVL, Austria)
  • Smart manufacturing and Industry 5.0 (Bosch Rexroth, Malaysia; Thundersoft, Vietnam)

Other contributors included Schaeffler, Siemens, Stellantis, and VinCSS.

Meanwhile, the Collision Repair Training Workshop offered hands-on demonstrations, emphasizing skills for ICEs, NEVs, and smart workshops.
