The 10th edition of CAPAS Chengdu has officially kicked off, marking a decade of growth and innovation in Southwest China's automotive sector. Held at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center, the show hosts 773 exhibitors across 52,000 sqm of exhibition space, highlighting the region’s strategic importance in China’s auto aftermarket and manufacturing landscape.

This year’s CAPAS is buzzing with energy, driven by themes such as new energy vehicles (NEVs), connected mobility, and cross-border collaboration. The Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-city Economic Rim takes center stage, with a dedicated zone showcasing how regional integration is accelerating industrial transformation. From NEV components to digitalised workshop technologies, the fair presents a snapshot of where China’s auto industry is headed.

Attendees are particularly engaged in the show’s upgraded supporting programme, which includes over 20 concurrent events. These span business matchmaking, expert-led forums, and hands-on workshops – providing real-time insights into everything from green energy policies to export strategies for Chinese brands.

With a strong regional demand, CAPAS 2025 stands as a key meeting point for automotive innovation and cooperation in Western China. Judging by the opening day, the next few days promise fruitful exchanges, new partnerships, and a vibrant look into the sector’s future.
